1. Preparation

Open Birdhouse template document and click “Make a copy to edit” button

Select “Owned by me” and click “Open” and then click “Copy here”

2. Make a birdhouse profile

Draw half of the birdhouse profile with line

Mirror lines you drew to create full symmetric profile:

  1. click on mirror tool icon
  2. select vertical line in the middle of the “world” (the line will become orange)
  3. click on each line you just create

Let’s extrude the profile. First list click on the corner of the flying cube to change perspective

Click on “Extrude” button (it is available in sketch mode too!)

Make sure that “Solid / New” type of extrude are selected. Faces to extrude are offered by default. Select “Blind” and depth “50 mm” (or any other reasonable depth for a virtual bird to comfortably live in)
